The Running of the Bulls is one of the most iconic travel experiences in the world. In addition to the actual running through the streets, this is an event that includes neighborhood festivals and concerts. We will include a couple of these local events in order to make this an authentic experience for our guests. Examples of these included events are a Bull Running tour and dinner at a Michelin star restaurant with the traditional Saint Fermin menu. Our lead guide, Thomas, lives in Spain and has curated an amazing trip!
Since we will be in the Pyrenees and very near Pamplona in the middle part of the 2024 Tour de France, we think it is a great idea to see this spectacle while we are in the area. If you are doing the Polka Dot Pyrenees trip with us, it will be a seamless transition to France for the beginning of that trip. If you are traveling with us later in the Tour, you can start with the Running of the Bulls, then do your own thing for a few days and meet back up with us for one of the final week trips in Provence and the French Riviera.

Welcome to Spain! We will be meeting in the lobby of our hotel in the early afternoon. We will head into town for a tour that explains how the run works. Our hotel in Pamplona is at a beautiful golf resort on the edge of town that provides a free shuttle into the city center for all the festivities.
You will have a chance to buy the red scarf and sash that are worn over your white clothes when you are in the city. It’s a great way to get into the spirit of the festival!
Tonight we’ll enjoy a welcome dinner at our hotel. Authentic Spanish food in an amazing setting with locals and travelers from all over the world.
After an early breakfast we will head into the center of the town. We have a space reserved on a balcony to watch the Running of the Bulls. You will love the energy of the town as the residents prepare to welcome the world. All of our guests will receive a bandana, sash and custom-designed t-shirt to wear today.
After the bulls pass, you can either return to the hotel to rest or stay in the city. Our hotel is a golf resort, so you can also rent some clubs and play golf or enjoy the pool.
Dinner tonight is another unique treat: Our group dinner will be at Pamplona’s best restaurant, a Michelin starred establishment, with the pre-set Saint Fermin menu. What a great way to end our trip! There may be local, impromptu concerts, so listen for music and dancing from the locals.
