Our next VIP venue is called Relais Etape and is located along the race course. The venue will serve a 4-course meal with soft drinks, beer, wine and champagne. There are TV’s and commentators to describe the action until the races pass in front of us. The atmosphere is electric in anticipation of the racers and their entourage. To add to the excitement, a caravan/parade passes ahead of the race and tosses gifts and gadgets to the crowd.
Because this is the final Individual Time Trial, racers will pass in a fairly constant pattern as they make their way to the finish line.
After the race has finished, we will make the 6 hour transfer to Paris. We’ll stop along the way for comfort stops and will arrive at our Parisian hotel after midnight.
