Viewing options in Paris
Our packages with VIP access let you live the greatest races in cycling from the inside. Imagine riding across the finish line on closed roads with crowds cheering you on, climbing the official podium or taking a selfie with your favorite rider! You've dreamed of a trip to the Tour de France, the Giro in Italy or the Vuelta a España; we can help you make it happen in the comfort of VIP venues!
This is a non-cycling trip that focuses on Mont Ventoux in Provence. We will enjoy VIP access to the race along the course and at a stage finish. Stage 11 will be a real treat as the racers will climb Ventoux twice from different directions. We will view that stage from a VIP venue located near the finish line. Highlights of the trip will be a viewing of race in Chambery, in the Alps, and beautiful scenery including Mont Ventoux in Provence.
We will pick up at the Chambery-Challes-les-Eaux train station in the early afternoon, just in time to watch the race pass through the town. Chambery is often featured in the Tour de France and is a fun place to see the race. What an exciting way to start your trip.
After the race passes, we will drive 3 hours south to Avignon in the Provence region of France. We will check into our hotel and enjoy our welcome dinner. Your guide will go over the plan for the next few days and you will receive gifts from Custom Getaways and from the Tour de France.
Today we see the race as the pros ride on Mont Ventoux. This world famous climb is a great test of cycling and has a long history of drama at the Tour de France.
Today will be a very important stage that could really shake up the GC standings. We will view the finish of the stage in the Izoard VIP venue located a few kilometers from the finish line. This VIP venue has air-conditioning, food, drinks, TVs and restrooms. Our VIP is a great way to view the race live and on TV.
After the stage finish, we will head back to Avignon where you can explore the city and find a place for dinner with your new friends.
We start today with a tour of Pont du Gard, a famous Roman aqueduct that was featured in last year’s Tour de France. Bring your cameras as this is a very picturesque location. After the tour, we will drive to another VIP venue to see the race.
Relais Etape is a hospitality tent set up along the course. The caravan throws out fun prizes before the racers arrive to build an electric atmosphere. The racers and their entourage (team cars, motorcycles, media, sponsors, etc.) will pass live in front of us. We will be served an excellent, 4-course lunch with wine and other beverages. Champagne will be served at the end to toast the stage winner. Each Relais Etape guest will receive a gift from le Tour.
Tonight we will enjoy our final dinner together as we remember the great cycling and race highlights with our new friends.
This morning we will drop you at the Avignon TGV train station. This location offers fast service to Paris or other destinations. We look forward to seeing you again!
