Day 01

Welcome to France

Date Thursday, July 15 Hotel Location Lourdes

Today we will pick up at the Lourdes train station in the early morning. We will start the trip by touring the world-famous grotto in Lourdes. Located at the base of a cliff and alongside a river, the setting is gorgeous and a short walk from our hotel.

We will enjoy a welcome dinner for the group and your guide will review the plan for the next few days. Each guest will receive a gift from Custom Getaways and from the Tour de France organizers.

Day 02

Drive into Bordeaux and VIP viewing along the course

Date Friday, July 16 Hotel Location Bordeaux

Today is a real treat. We will drive on the course to our next location called Relais Etape for lunch and to watch the race.

Relais Etape is a VIP hospitality tent set up along the course. To build an electric atmosphere, the caravan throws out small prizes before the racers and their entourage pass in front of us. We will be served an excellent, 4-course lunch with wine and champagne to toast the winner. The Tour de France also provides a gift to each guest in the Relais Etape tent.

After the finish of the stage, we will make our way to Bordeaux. You will have the evening free to relax and enjoy the hotel and property.

Day 03

VIP viewing of Time Trial

Date Saturday, July 17 Hotel Location Paris

We will start the day with a tour of a winery in Bordeaux and a tasting. This region is known for the best red wines in the world. After the tasting, we will be driven to the finish of today’s stage.

After lunch, we will enter the Izoard VIP venue. This area is located close to the finish line and has air-conditioning, private restrooms, food, drinks, and TVs to follow the action. This is a great way to watch the race until the racers pass right in front of you on the way to the finish line.

Today’s stage is an individual time trial. After the stage 20 ITT in 2020, everyone knows how much this can change the race…it will be very exciting! Following the stage, we will waste no time in catching our train to Paris.

Day 04

Tour finish in Paris

Date Sunday, July 18 Hotel Location Paris

You will have the morning free to rest or do more sight-seeing in Paris. Mid-afternoon the grandstands and hospitality tents will open. Access to the Grand Palais grandstand venue is included in your package. This VIP venue has beer and other drinks as well as a location on the Champs Élysées.

You will have an excellent vantage point from which to view the finish of the 2021 Tour de France. You will see the riders pass in front of you 8 times on the Champs Élysées.

After the finish, we will walk over to the River Seine for a dinner cruise. This is a great way to finish our trip with outstanding Paris scenery, great food, wine and new friends.
