3-Star Paris Weekend
Weekend in Paris for the Grand finale
July 3rd – July 9th, 2021 • non-cycling
Our packages with VIP access let you live the greatest races in cycling from the inside. Imagine riding across the finish line on closed roads with crowds cheering you on, climbing the official podium or taking a selfie with your favorite rider! You've dreamed of a trip to the Tour de France, the Giro in Italy or the Vuelta a España; we can help you make it happen in the comfort of VIP venues!
This is a non-cycling trip that focuses on the mountains of the Alps and Mont Ventoux in Provence. We will enjoy VIP access to the race at the start, along the course and at a stage finish. The scenery is spectacular in the Alps and the race viewing will be outstanding. We will get pictures on the podium and view the race from a VIP venue located near the finish line. In addition to seeing the race, you will be able to tour Mont Blanc and the glacier. Highlights of the trip will be spectacular scenery in the Alps, including Chamonix and Mont Blanc, as well as Mont Ventoux in Provence.
We will be picking up at the Geneva airport (GVA) mid-morning and will make our way to Le Grand Bornand. This is a beautiful ski resort in a spectacular setting. Before we view the finish of the stage in the Izoard VIP venue, we will get pictures on the podium–a very cool VIP experience. After the race, we will drive to our hotel in Chamonix, one of our favorite towns in all of the world.
We will get acquainted with our fellow group members over a welcome dinner. Your guide will go over the plan for the coming days. Each guest will receive a gift bag with gifts from le Tour and from Custom Getaways.
We begin the day at the start village in Cluses. Our VIP passes allow access to the sponsor area with food and coffee and preferred access to the sign-in stage. This is your best chance to see riders up close and get pictures.
After the start of the race, you can explore Cluses and find a place for lunch. We will drive back to our hotel and you will have time to explore Chamonix this evening, with its breath-taking views of Mont Blanc and find a place for dinner in this quaint ski town.
We will take a train up the mountain to the glacier that runs down the side of Mont Blanc. If you want to tackle the many stairs, you can hike down to the glacier and walk inside of it.
After our tour, we will drive toward Chambery to our next hotel. We will enjoy another meal together in Chambery before the Tour heads through town tomorrow.
You will have this morning free to rest or explore Chambery. You can grab some lunch and find a place to watch the racers pass through town. VIP venues are great, but sometimes it’s fun to be with the local crowds to experience le Tour. Chambery is often featured in the Tour de France and is a fun place to see the race.
After the race, we will make the 3 hour drive south to Avignon in the Provence region of France. We will check into our hotel and you will be able to walk around this beautiful city and find a place for dinner.

Today we see the race on Mont Ventoux. This world famous climb is a great test of cycling and offers spectacular views of Provence. The racers will climb Ventoux twice from different directions and this should really shake up the GC standings.
To make this day even more special, we will view the finish of the stage in the Izoard VIP venue located a few kilometers from the finish line. This VIP venue has air-conditioning, food, drinks, TVs and restrooms. This is a great way to view the race live and on TV.
After the stage finish, we will head back to Avignon, where you can explore the city and find a place for dinner with some of your new friends.
We start today with a tour of Pont du Gard, a famous Roman aqueduct that was featured in last year’s Tour de France. Bring your cameras as this is a very picturesque location. After the tour, we will drive to another VIP venue to see the race.
Relais Etape is a hospitality tent set up along the course. The caravan throws out fun prizes before the racers arrive to build an electric atmosphere. The racers and their entourage (team cars, motorcycles, media, sponsors, etc.) will pass live in front of us. We will be served an excellent, 4-course lunch with wine and other beverages. Champagne will be served at the end to toast the stage winner. Each Relais Etape guest will receive a gift from le Tour.
Tonight we will enjoy our final dinner together as we remember the great cycling and race highlights with our new friends.
This morning we will drop you at the Avignon TGV train station. This location offers fast service to Paris or other destinations. We look forward to seeing you again!
