4-Star Paris Weekend
Weekend in Paris for the Grand finale
Our packages with VIP access let you live the greatest races in cycling from the inside. Imagine riding across the finish line on closed roads with crowds cheering you on, climbing the official podium or taking a selfie with your favorite rider! You've dreamed of a trip to the Tour de France, the Giro in Italy or the Vuelta a España; we can help you make it happen in the comfort of VIP venues!
This is a non-cycling trip that features the most iconic cycling region in France: the French Alps. The trip also features part of Switzerland and the finish of le Tour in Paris.
We will enjoy VIP access to the race at the start, along the course and at a stage finish. You will also have the opportunity to walk across the finish line and have pictures on the official podium!
Away from the race, we will see some amazing scenery and you will be able to explore great cities like Geneva and Paris. This trip includes VIP, grandstand seating on the Champs Élysées in Paris and a dinner cruise on the River Seine after the race ends. We sail past many beautiful sites including Notre Dame, Musée d’Orsay and the Eiffel Tower…it’s a great way to end our trip!
We will be picking up at the Grenoble (Gare de Grenoble) train station at 12:00pm and will make our way to a private viewing along today’s stage route as the racers head towards the finish line in Villard de Lans. After the race ends, we will transfer to our hotel in Chambery and will get settled before walking to a local restaurant for our welcome dinner.
At our welcome dinner, we will get acquainted with our fellow group members and the guides will go over the plan for the upcoming week. Our team of guides have been incredibly stable and are among the most experienced in the industry.
You will receive gifts from the Tour de France and from Custom Getaways. You will also receive the very popular le Tour road book and a discount card for discounts on official Tour merchandise.
Today, guests will have the morning free to walk around the town of Chambery. In the late morning, we will make our way to the Relais Etape, a VIP experience with an elegant 4-course meal, wine, drinks and a champagne toast.
In addition to the food and drink, Relais Etape has other activities such as virtual reality goggles, photo booths, and the popular bike smoothie-blender. Guests will have a chance to get up close to the caravan and and grab prizes before racers and their entourage (team cars, motorcycles, press, etc.) pass right in front of us!
Back in Chambery, guests will have the chance to find a place to eat dinner. You can find many great restaurants just around the corner from our hotel!
We begin our day transferring to Le Roche Sur Foron, the finish city of today’s stage. There we will have access to the Izoard VIP venue and the podium! Once we arrive, we will cross the finish line and take group and self-photos on the official podium.
After the podium, we will enter the Izoard VIP tent where we can enjoy food, beer, and other refreshments. This venue also features air-conditioning and private restrooms. The Izoard is located close to the finish line so we will have a great opportunity to watch the finish and snap some action shots as the racers pass!
Once the race is over, we will make our way to Geneva, Switzerland and check-in to our hotel. Tonight we’ll enjoy a group dinner.
In the morning, we will have access to the start village in Bourg en Bresse. The start village is where guests can enjoy finger food and beverages. Feel free to venture into the limited access team bus paddock, where you can get up close to the riders and their team equipment. The paddock is a great place to get pictures with your favorite riders!
After the race starts we will make our way back to Geneva, where we will have the night free to explore the city, walk along Lake Geneva and find a cool place for dinner.
Today we make our way to our final destination, Paris. The group will leave early and take our bus in order to arrive mid afternoon. Once there, we will check-in to the hotel. You can choose to watch the finish of today’s stage in your room, at a sports bar with some new friends or see some sites in Paris.
We will be staying in a great location close to the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysees and a Metro station. The evening is free to relax, explore or check-out the local restaurants.
This morning guests will have time to explore Paris before the start of the final stage! In the afternoon, the grandstands and hospitality tents will open. Seating in the Grand Palais grandstands is included in your package, but you may choose to upgrade to a hospitality tent with catered food and open bar. Either way, you will have an excellent vantage point from which to view the finish of the 2020 Tour de France.
The energy is amazing as you see the riders pass directly in front of you 8 times and 8 times on the other side of the Champs Elysees!
After the finish, we will walk to the River Seine for a privatized dinner cruise that passes sites such as Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower. This is a great way to finish our trip with great food, wine, music, views and new friends.
Check-out of your hotel by noon or extend you stay in the City of Lights! Guests are responsible for their own transfer from the hotel. There is an airport shuttle bus located very close to your hotel if needed. We hope to see you again soon.
