This is a short trip for spectators. Your trip will feature the dramatic Alps mountains of France before finishing le Tour in Paris! We will begin the trip with a race viewing at the finish of stage 18 in La Roche-Sur-Foron.

On the second day, we will check out the start village and get up close to the riders before they start stage 19. In Geneva, Switzerland, guests can check out the local shops and restaurants before the group heads to Paris for the finish. You will be right in the middle of the action on the final day of le Tour. The racers pass in front of you 8 times from your grandstand seats on the Champs Élysées. To cap off the exciting day, you will enjoy the best views of Paris from a private boat, chartered by Custom Getaways for a dinner cruise on the River Seine.

Day 01

Finish line, podium pictures and VIP venue at the finish

Date Thursday, July 16 Hotel Location Geneva

We pick up at the Chambery train station at 11:30am and will hit the ground running with a race viewing of the Stage 18 finish. Before we enter our VIP venue, the group will cross the finish line and will have the opportunity to check out the podium and take pictures on the official podium!

Guests will have VIP access to the Izoard venue, located near the finish line. This venue serves food, drinks and beer. There is champagne at the end to toast the stage winner. The Izoard venue also includes TVs to follow the action before the racers arrive, private restrooms, an air-conditioning.

After the race ends, the group will transfer to Geneva, Switzerland and will check-in to our hotel located near the banks of Lake Geneva.

We will enjoy a group dinner where your tour guide will review the events of the next few days. You will receive gifts from Custom Getaways and from le Tour. You will also receive the ever popular Tour de France Road book and a card for discounts on Tour de France merchandise.


Day 02

VIP access to start village

Date Friday, July 17 Hotel Location Geneva

Today we will drive to Bourg en Bresse to enter the start village. The start village is a guide and guest favorite, with lots of complementary food and drinks to choose from. You will be able to see the racers sign-in, some racers interviewed and witness the start of stage 19!

Make sure to visit the team bus paddock where you can get a close look at the riders, their team cars and bikes. This is a great opportunity to take a picture with your favorite rider!

After the start, we will make our way back into Geneva where you can find a place to watch the finish of the race. The evening is free to relax, explore the city or check-out the local restaurants.

Day 03

Transfer to Paris and explore the City of Lights

Date Saturday, July 18 Hotel Location Paris

Today is another busy day. This morning, we will head to Paris via our motorcoach. We will depart early as we have a six hour drive to the City of Lights.

Upon arriving in Paris, you’ll be ready to stretch your legs. You’ll have the rest of the day to sightsee and the possibilities are endless. If you’d rather, you can watch the finish of today’s stage at a local restaurant/bar or relax in your hotel.

We will be staying in a great location close to the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Élysées and a metro station.

Day 04

Paris finish and dinner cruise

Date Sunday, July 19 Hotel Location Paris

You will have some free time this morning in Paris to explore the city and feel the energy of the Tour de France. In the early afternoon you will meet your guide and walk to the VIP viewing location in the Grand Palais grandstands.

Your seats are located at the base of the Champs Élysées. You will see the riders pass 8 times right in front of you and 8 times on the other side of the street.

Once the race is over, you’ll make your way on foot to the river to board a privatized dinner cruise.  What a perfect way to celebrate the 2020 le Tour….with great food, drink, music, views of Notre Dame, Musée d’Orsay and the Eiffel Tower and new friends.

Day 05

Au revoir

Date Monday, July 20 Hotel Location N/A

Check-out of your hotel by noon or extend your stay in the City of Lights. Guests are responsible for their own transfer from the hotel.
