4 Star Paris Weekend
Weekend in Paris for the Grand finale
Our packages with VIP access let you live the greatest races in cycling from the inside. Imagine riding across the finish line on closed roads with crowds cheering you on, climbing the official podium or taking a selfie with your favorite rider! You've dreamed of a trip to the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia or the Vuelta a España; we can help you make it happen in the comfort of VIP venues!
This is a non-cycling trip that features some of the most iconic regions of France: Provence, the Alps and the finish of the Tour in Paris. You will have the opportunity to walk across the finish line and have pictures on the official podium! We will enjoy VIP access to the race at the start, along the course and at a stage finish. Away from the race, we will have other activities such as winery and/or castle tours. This trip includes VIP, grandstand seating on the Champs Elysees in Paris and a dinner cruise on the Seine after the race ends in Paris.
We will be picking up at the Avignon TGV train station in the morning and will make our way to a team hotel. We should be able to see the pros return from their practice ride. We will also see the team mechanic and their trucks for “behind the scenes” look at how the teams operate.
At our welcome dinner, we will get acquainted with our fellow group members and the guides will go over the plan for the upcoming week. Our team of guides has been incredibly stable and is among the most experienced in the industry.
You will receive a Tour de France gift bag which will include the very popular le Tour road book.
We will start the day with a drive to the town of Nimes for the circuit stage that will start and finish in the same city.
We will have VIP access to the start village that includes the sponsor village, the sign-in stage and the team bus area. The start village is a popular VIP venue as it’s the best opportunity to see the racers and their bikes up close. Have your cameras ready.
Since today’s stage will end in the same town, we will be able find a place to watch the end of the race as well! Following the stage end, we will drive to Avignon, where you are free to explore the city and have dinner.
Today we will tour a winery in the Provence region and have a tasting. We will then drive toward the Alps. Depending on the route of today’s stage, we will try to find a place to watch the race from the side of the road. It will be a good opportunity to stretch our legs as well as cheer on the racers.
Chambery is a great town in the Alps where our hotel will be located. Tonight we’ll enjoy a group dinner.
You will have the morning free to explore Chambery. In the late morning, we will drive into the mountains for today’s stage finish near Valloire. We will drive on the course to a VIP venue called Izoard.
The Izoard venue is located 15 kilometers from the finish line on the col du Galibier and has snacks, drinks, beer, TVs, air-conditioning and private restrooms. It is a great way to view this important climb toward the finish in Valloire!
After the finish of the stage, we will drive back to our hotel in Chambery. We will have a group dinner before retiring after a busy day.
Today is a real treat. We will drive on the course and walk across the finish line as a group. After crossing the finish line, we will have the opportunity to claim the podium and get pictures to memorialize our victory. From there, we’ll enter our next VIP viewing location called Relais Etape.
Relais Etape is a VIP tent located along the course of today’s stage. A catered, 4-course lunch is served which includes wine and beer. There are TVs to follow the progress of the race. The caravan/parade will pass and throw prizes to the crowd as they build the energy for the arrival of the peloton. The racers will pass right in front of you on their way to today’s finish line.
The evening is free to relax, explore or check-out the local restaurants.
After breakfast and checking-out of our hotel, we’ll head to the train station for our train to Paris.
In Paris, you will have the afternoon and evening free to explore the many sites of Paris. We will be staying in a great location close to the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysees and a Metro station.
You will have the morning free to rest or do more sight-seeing in Paris. At 3:00 PM the grandstands and hospitality tents will open. Seating in the Grand Palais grandstands are included in your package, but you may choose to upgrade to a hospitality tent with catered food and open bar. Either way, you will have an excellent vantage point from which to view the finish of the 2019 Tour de France.
The energy is amazing as you see the riders pass in front of you 8 times on the Champs Elysees!
After the finish, we will walk to the River Seine for a privatized dinner cruise. This is a great way to finish our trip with great food, wine, music, view and new friends.
Check-out of your hotel by noon or extend you stay in the City of Lights! There is an airport shuttle bus located very close to your hotel if needed. We hope to see you again soon.
