Day 01

Benvenuti!

Date Sunday, May 21 Hotel Location Bormio

We will be picking up at Milan Malpensa airport late morning and will make our way North to Bormio.

Once at our hotel and after checking-in, we will build up or fit the bikes and go for a short ride in the area to shake the rust off from traveling.

We will return to the hotel in time to catch what should be a sprint finish on TV, before having our welcome dinner.

Day 02

Ride mountains

Date Monday, May 22 Hotel Location Bormio

We will begin today with gentle hills to get warmed up, then a great ride up the Passo del Mortirolo.  This climb will be highlighted on tomorrow’s stage and is one of the steepest climbs in Italy.   One section has a 16% gradient!

After the ride, we will enjoy some rest and relaxation at the hotel and explore the mountains around our hotel. Some may want to rent a mountain bike and ride some trails.

Day 03

Stelvio Pass

Date Tuesday, May 23 Hotel Location Bormio

Today’s stage will tackle one of the most iconic mountains in Italy and so will we.  Passo dello Stelvio is the highest mountain at this year’s Giro at 2758m.

After we reach the summit, we will descend to our private viewing area where we will eat, hydrate, watch the caravan and wait for the racers to pass right in front of us on the climb.  A memorable experience for all!

Day 04

Off to the Dolomites

Date Wednesday, May 24 Hotel Location Canazei

Today has more great riding in the mountains surrounding Bormio. One of the climbs we will tackle today is Passo del Tonal, another iconic mountain the pros will tackle later today. As always, we will offer a couple of different distances to accommodate all levels of riders.

After riding, we will transfer to Canazei in the Dolomites. Our hope is to arrive at the hotel in time to catch the end of today’s stage in the same city as our hotel.

Day 05

Ride the Dolomites & VIP access to stage finish

Date Thursday, May 25 Hotel Location Canazei

Today there are options to ride or to take a day off and relax while soaking up the ambiance of this scenic area.

Those who want will be able to ride some of the mountains in today’s stage including Passo Pordoi at 2239m.

After riding, we will have great VIP access to the stage finish in Ortisei which is catered and features live TV feed to follow the race as it nears.

Day 06

Cross the line of a mountain top finish!

Date Friday, May 26 Hotel Location Conegliano

Today is a real treat with the gorgeous scenery of the Dolomites as your backdrop. You will be able to ride on course just like a pro and cross the finish line on a mountain top finish in Piancavallo!

We can start our ride about 100 km from the finish on a small climb called Sella Chianzutan, then cruise on a flat section until the steep climb on Piancavallo.

After crossing the line, we will tour the podium area and take pictures to remember our victory.  We will then head to Treviso and try to catch the stage finish on TV before dinner.

Day 07

VIP access to stage start

Date Saturday, May 27 Hotel Location Milan

We’ll head out to Pordenone at the start of today’s stage where we will have VIP access to the Puccini Club and the start area. Starts provide the best opportunities for the public to meet the pro riders and our passes will make the task that much easier. The starts also feature catered and sponsor areas which the pros visit as well.

After seeing the start of today’s stage, we will drive to Milan to get ready for the final stage of the 2017 Giro d’Italia.

Day 08

VIP access to final stage in Milan!

Date Sunday, May 28 Hotel Location Milan

Today is a rare treat.  In addition to the usual excitement of a final stage, this will be an individual time trial!  Race organizers have really found a way to make the final stage factor into the race outcome.

The stage will start at the race track in Monza and will wind through the streets of Milan for only 28 kilometers.  Talk about a high pressure sprint!

We will have a great view of the final stretch in the VIP Arrival Lounge.  This area, with catered food and drink, is a great way to see all the excitement.  After the race, we will gather for a final dinner together.
