It will cover the important final stages of the 2019 Giro d’Italia from the mountain stages in the Dolomites, through the Veneto region, then onto the final stage through the streets of Verona. This package offers outstanding access to the race with VIP access and private viewings of the race on Gavia Pass and in Cortina, in the heart of the Dolomites.

Day 01

Benveuti!

Date Monday, May 27 Hotel Location Aprica

We will be picking up at Milan Malpensa airport (MXP) in the early afternoon and will make our way into the Dolomites and check into our hotel. You will have a little time in the afternoon to rest before our welcome dinner.

Your guides will explain the plan for the coming week and we will receive our official road books and gifts from Custom Getaways.

Day 02

Private viewing on Gavia Pass!

Date Tuesday, May 28 Hotel Location Bolzano

This morning, we will make our way to Gavia Pass, one of the most famous climbs in the world.  We will have lunch and a private viewing of the climb up Gavia Pass.  This will be one of the most exciting climbs of the year and you will be able to either stay at our location or find your own space in the crowds to watch the racers battle!

After viewing the race, we will check into our new hotel in Bolzano. You will be able to explore the town and find a place for dinner.

Day 03

VIP viewing and pictures on the podium

Date Wednesday, May 29 Hotel Location Bolzano

Today we will drive to finish area in Anterselva, the site of today’s stage. We will experience the VIP tour of the podium and have pictures taken, just like the pros!

After the podium, we will view the finish of the stage in the Dante VIP area close to the finish line. This venue has snacks, drinks, prosecco and private restrooms for your comfort. There are also TVs for us to follow the race until the racers pass right in front of us!  Group dinner tonight.

Day 04

Dolomites to Cortina for private viewing

Date Thursday, May 30 Hotel Location Follina

Gorgeous scenery today as the race winds through the spectacular mountains to the village of Cortina. This famous ski resort hosts a World Cup ski race every year and is vying to host the Winter Olympics in the next few years.

Today will be the last chance for the climbers to make a big move in the Dolomites. We will have a private viewing location to eat lunch and watch the caravan pass. After the caravan, the excitement will build as we find a perfect location to see the peloton pass on this important mountain stage.

After the race, we will drive to Follina and check into our next hotel. We will have a group dinner in our hotel’s excellent restaurant.

Day 05

Start Village in Treviso

Date Friday, May 31 Hotel Location Follina

Today we will explore the start village and see the start of today’s stage that will be located in the town of Treviso. We will be able to walk around the team bus area and see the racers ride to the sign in stage. This is the best opportunity to take pictures of the racers and get autographs.

You will be able to explore Treviso and find a place for lunch. After lunch, we will head back to our hotel in Follina where you will be able to continue exploring the area on your own and find a cool place for dinner.

Day 06

Enjoy the vineyards of the Veneto region

Date Saturday, June 1 Hotel Location Verona

After an early lunch, we will drive through the vineyards of the Veneto region and do a tour and tasting at the Matte family winery. This family-run winery has a gorgeous location and produces an excellent prosecco that you will love.

We will make our final transfer to Verona, the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. You will be able to explore the city and find a place for dinner with some new friends.

Day 07

VIP viewing of the final stage in Verona!

Date Sunday, June 2 Hotel Location Verona

Everyone will have the morning free to explore the charming town of Verona.

In the afternoon, we will head to the VIP area for the finish of this year’s Giro d’Italia. We will be able to view this exciting final stage finish in the Arrival Lounge VIP area. This venue is located close to the finish line and has great food and drink, TVs and comfortable seating to enjoy this experience.

After the race, we will enjoy an amazing farewell dinner with all of our new friends.

Day 08

Arrivederci

Date Monday, June 3 Hotel Location n/a

Early departure this morning for an 11:00 drop at Milan, MXP airport or extend your stay in nearby Venice for a few more days. Safe travels to all of our new friends!
