Day 01

Let the adventure begin!

Date Sunday, May 21 Hotel Location Bormio

We will be picking up at Milan Malpensa airport then make our way North to Bormio.

Once at our beautiful hotel and after checking-in, we will build up or fit the rental bikes and go for a short ride in the area to shake the rust off from traveling.

We should be back at the hotel in time to catch what should be a sprint finish on TV, before having drinks and our orientation and welcome dinner.  Your guides will explain what to expect over the next several days together.

Day 02

Ride the mountains

Date Monday, May 22 Hotel Location Bormio

We will begin today with a some hills to get warmed up, then a great ride up the Passo del Mortirolo. This climb will be highlighted on tomorrow’s stage and is one of the steepest climbs in Italy. One section has a 16% gradient!

We will have some time this afternoon to relax in our beautiful hotel. You can enjoy the warmth of the sauna or soak in the Turkish bath. This will be sure to relax you from today’s ride and prepare you for tomorrow’s adventure.

Day 03

Stelvio Pass

Date Tuesday, May 23 Hotel Location Bormio

Today’s stage climbs one of the most iconic mountains in Italy and so will we.  Passo dello Stelvio is the highest mountain at this year’s Giro at 2758 km.

After we reach the summit, we will descend to our private viewing area where we will eat, hydrate, watch the caravan and wait for the racers to pass right in front of us on the climb.  A memorable experience for all!

Day 04

Scenic mountain ride and transfer to the Dolomites

Date Wednesday, May 24 Hotel Location Campitello di Fassa

Today has more great riding in the mountains surrounding Bormio.  Pass del Tonale is a great climb that the pros will be tackling later in the day. As always, we offer a couple of different distances to accommodate all levels of riders.

After riding, we will transfer to Canazei in the Dolomites and will check into another amazing hotel in time to catch the end of today’s stage on TV or at a bar with our new friends.

Day 05

Cross the finish line and VIP access to stage finish

Date Thursday, May 25 Hotel Location Campitello di Fassa

Today is an adventure all of our clients look forward to…riding across the finish line!  This stage has 4 climbs, so we will start where you feel most comfortable, then you will be able to ride some of  the mountains in today’s stage including Passo Pordoi at 2239 km.

After crossing the line, we will be able to tour the podium and take pictures to remember our victory.

After riding, we’ll have great VIP access to the stage finish in Ortisei which is catered and features live TV feed to follow the race as it nears.

Day 06

Great riding and VIP viewing

Date Friday, May 26 Hotel Location Follina

Beautiful scenery all around on today’s ride as we may want to take it a little easier after yesterday’s multiple climbs.  There is a nice descent about 86 km out from today’s mountain top finish in Piancavallo that will be a perfect way to warm up for the climb to stage finish.

After the ride, we will again enjoy the stage finish in a VIP viewing area.  Since this stage finishes on a mountain top, we will take helicopters from the top to avoid the crowds exiting the finish area.  The views of the Dolomites will be spectacular!

Dinner tonight will be a real treat as it is a Michelin star restaurant in the heart of Prosecco country!

Day 07

VIP access to stage start

Date Saturday, May 27 Hotel Location Milan

We’ll head out to Pordenone at the start of today’s stage where we will have VIP access to the Michelangelo Club and the start area. Starts provide the best opportunities for the public to meet the pro riders and our passes will make the task that much easier. The starts also feature catered and sponsor areas which the pros visit as well.

After seeing the start of today’s stage, we will drive to Milan to get ready for the final stage of the 2017 Giro d’Italia and check into our hotel with a great location in the city center.

Day 08

VIP access to final stage in Milan!

Date Sunday, May 28 Hotel Location Milan

Today is a rare treat.  In addition to the normal excitement of a final stage, this will be an individual time trial!  Race organizers have really found a way to make the final stage factor into the race outcome.

The stage will start at the race track in Monza and winds through the streets of Milan for only 28 kilometers.  Talk about a high pressure sprint!

We will have a great view of the final stretch in the Arrival Pass VIP area.  This area with catered food and drink is a great way to see all the excitement.  After the race, we will gather for a final group dinner to celebrate a great tour.
