2012 One Day Experiences

June 30th through July 22nd, 2012

We often get inquiries regarding special access on specific stages. Until 2011 we regretfully had to decline as this type of feature was restricted to our group trips only.

For the second year, we can offer great viewing options and opportunities not available anywhere else. From VIP access to stage finish, rare access to the final time trial and publicity Caravan to a full day on course and Grand Stands in Paris - we can help!

Please CONTACT US to discuss each situation, stage details or your particular wishes/restrictions.

VIP access to Stage Finish:

The Tour de France sets up a limited number of areas located on course within the final portion of the stage. Access is reserved to race celebrities, partners and guests of the pro-teams. Typically these areas are about 50m-75m (yards) of the finish line. There is catering, several TV screens as well as a view of the Jumbo-tron and also elevated viewing. Champagne is served daily after the race arrival to celebrate.

There are a few - rare instances where, for technical reasons the VIP areas cannot be setup this close to the arrival and it is therefore moved back slightly.

On some stage finishes it will be required to coordinate some form of transportation to gain access to the stage finish location (mountain top finishes are such examples). Contact us so we may discuss the particulars on a case by case basis.

Fantasy Day on course

This is a full day of great action.

As the Tour de France travels, a village is setup at the start location of each stage. This is where the sponsors/partners setup, local products are offered and celebrities make daily appearances. This is also where the team buses line-up within a gated area. Your passes will allow you to enter both the village and rider's enclosure. Make sure you have a camera and Sharpie pen on hand as this is without a doubt the best place to get autographs!

The accredited vehicle is allowed on course on closed roads and will leave about 30mn before the peloton. You will get the same view of the roads lined with spectators as the pros will just behind you.

You will mingle with the craziness of the caravan and be able to pass all the vehicle floats while people cheer on the side of the road.
You will then stop on course where you will see the Caravan and race go by
while enjoying a VIP picnic lunch.

It will then be time to board the vehicle and your driver will take you the rest of the way to the finish, following the same itinerary as the team vehicles.

At the finish, you will enjoy access to the VIP "Izoard" reserved to race celebrities, partners and guests of the pro-teams.

This extraordinary experience includes a Tour de France gift.

Available on stages 11, 16 and 17 only!

Read more here

These days are meant to let you experience a Full Day of great TDF action. You will be at the start, along the way and at the finish. Each stage is a bit different and there will be a convenient meeting and drop-off place, daily.

The idea is:
- Meet relatively early at a convenient location (nearby train station for example)
- drive you to the start in a vehicle with special credentials
- experience the excitement surrounding the stage start
- Exact itinerary and timing allowing, we will drive you along to a point along the course to see the stage go by - possibly intermediate sprint or feed zone. Seeing the stage along the way is dependant upon the exact timing, but is typically feasible.
- we will then finish the drive to get you to the finish where you will have access to the VIP Izoard location at finish.
The Tour de France sets up a limited number of areas located on course within the final portion of the stage. Access is reserved to race celebrities, partners and guests of the pro-teams. Publicity caravan and VIP Stage Finish

When the Tour de France founder, Henry Desgrange decided to call on France's major brands in 1930 to help finance the race, he probably did not imagine that the Publicity Caravan would become what it is today: as much a spectacle as the race itself; a colorful and noisy parade distributing goodies to spectators from start to finish on each stage of the Tour.

This is your chance to be part of the Caravan for 1 day on the final time trial from Bonneval to Chartres!!

A unique experience that very few get to enjoy.

Once you will have completed the time trial course within the caravan, you will enjoy VIP access to the finish area reserved to race celebrities, partners and guests of the pro-teams. Typically these areas are about 50m-75m (yards) of the finish line. There is catering, several TV screens as well as a view of the Jumbotron and also elevated viewing. Champagne will be served after the race arrival to celebrate.
