"White Jersey" Trip
July 4th to July 9th
The Grand Depart as it is
called in France is always a moment of truth filled with great
anticipation for the 3 weeks to come. For the first time in 40 years,
the Tour de France will not start with a prologue. This means that the
Yellow Jersey will be open to the entire peloton and the first few
stages could/should be packed with great race action!
You will be able to see
the Tour from the inside. When we mean VIP access, we mean visit of
the Press rooms, Technical Zones, visits guided by a representative of
the Tour de France organization, visit of the Riders Zone, meeting
personalities that have marked the Tour (former Tour winners,
personalities, etc...).
You will have VIP access
to a stage start (July 8th), a stage finish (July 7th) and will
also be able to ride the better part of a Tour stage (July 6th) complete with
crossing of the finish line shortly before the Yellow
Jersey and the peloton. This experience will include sag-wagon by
Custom Getaways, on-course accredited vans, escort from an
official Tour de France vehicle over the final few kms, crossing of the finish
line and pictures of yourself on the official Podium.
Can you stand not to be part of
it?
Please read below for day by day description of the trip.
This trip is open to
cyclist as well as those who prefer not to ride and restricted to 20
people.

We will be picking-up in Nantes in the early
afternoon. |
 |
Once we have gathered in Nantes, we will
transfer to our hotel in Pontivy. Our first hotel is located in the heart
of the Brittany region in a central location to the first 3 stages!
Those who wish can then travel to Brest
to see the team presentation, while those who prefer to relax can stay
at the hotel to rest and get ready for the next few days' fun and
excitement!

 |
| - July 5th - |

Given the excellent location of our
hotel, those who wish to ride the most, will be able to leave the
hotel on bike and ride to the arrival of today's stage where we will
see which rider will be the first to wear the Yellow Jersey this year!
Shorter distances will be available.

| Tour Stage 2 /
Auray - Saint Brieuc / 165km |

If you've ever had the
dream of riding a Tour de France stage along roads filled with
spectators and raise your arms to the sky as you cross the
finish-line, today is the day it comes true!
It just so happens that our hotel
should be located on the course (based on what we are hearing).
Today is an amazing ride experience as you will be able to ride the
final kms of a Tour de France stage, just a few hours before the
Pros. You will ride the final few kms under Official Tour escort on
closed roads, cross the actual finish line with people cheering you
on from behind the barricades. You will then be invited to climb the
podium where we'll take great pictures you'll be able to have to
remember this great day.
This is truly one of our guests
favorite experience and one a cycling enthusiast will remember for
ever.
The ride distance will be determined
once we receive the actual itinerary. Since we anticipate our hotel
to be on the course, we would naturally ride to the arrival from
there. We suspect the distance should be in the neighborhood of
80km or so. It could be a bit more or less, and we other ride
distances will be offered, so the total ride distances should vary
from about 120km to 40/50km or so
Custom Getaways vehicle(s) with on-course
accreditation will be accompanying you and providing an extra lift if
necessary.
You will also be provided
with a special access overlooking the arrival line to see how the pros
"stack-up".
Once the stage is over we
will get back to our hotel in the Pontivy for the overnight and
another great meal to celebrate.

- July 7th - |
| Hotel
location: Nantes |
| Tour Stage
3 / Saint Malo - Nantes /
195km |
 |
The exact ride will be finalized once the exact
stage itinerary is released. We will plan on riding a portion of the
course.We
will then rally the arrival in Nantes where we will gain access to
the exclusive VIP Izoard hospitality area located very close to the
finish line.
Here hostesses will serve drinks and
snacks while watching the live broadcast on Big Screen and TV. After
seeing the stage finish from this exclusive viewing area champagne
will be served to celebrate the stage winner.
The Izoard bus is among the more exclusive areas at stage finishes
and you should expect to see/meet plenty of Tour celebrities.
Our hotel is ideally located in Nantes
itself, so we can simply walk back!

 |
|
- July 8th - |
|
Hotel location: Nantes |
|
Tour Stage 4 / Cholet
- Cholet / 29km |
 |
This is a very exciting stage to be able
to visit the start village as there is a lot going on during an
individual Time Trial
A Tour de France Official will guide you through
the rider's area where you can take pictures with riders, possible visit of team
bus, etc. Of course this all happens during the race, so the exact
interaction with the teams is always difficult to determine, as
circumstances vary.
We will then rally the arrival (which
shouldn't too far!) to see the final riders battle things out and for
a possible new Yellow Jersey holder (?)
Once the stage is over, we will return
to nearby Nantes for a final overnight an group dinner!
