We will be driving you to
the stage start. Our position as Official Tour Operator enables us to
have vehicles properly marked for special parking and race course
access, so we can park near the Start Village.
An ASO official will greet us
and give us the tour of the village. You will be able to have your
picture taken with Tour celebrities, sample some of the local products
on exhibit and gather a few souvenirs. You will then be invited to
enter the rider's enclosure. If you are a cycling enthusiast it
doesn't get much better than this! Well... the rest of the day does...
Before the stage
begins you will board one of the Official vehicles and start driving
the course. You will experience the entire stage. This is the last
mountain stage of the Tour, and the stage ends in Alpe d'Huez.
Needless to say that there will be huge crowds and unbelievable
excitement. By the time you arrive on the climb to Alpe d'Huez, the
thousands of people will have been eagerly awaiting the peloton; some
will have been there for days!
Once at the top of
Alpe d'Huez, you will be invited into the VIP area "Izoard". This is
one of the most exclusive areas at a Tour de France stage arrival and
on the Queen of all stages, you can expect to see the who's-who of
cycling!
Hostesses will serve drinks and snacks
and you can watch the live
broadcast of the riders battling on the slope of Alpe d'Huez on Big Screen TV. After seeing the stage finish from
this exclusive viewing area champagne will be served to celebrate the
stage winner.
But that's not all... once
the stage is over, you will evacuate the top of the mountain by
Helicopter and get to your next hotel which is a private Chateau
Hotel near Chambery..
This type of
experience has never been available to the public and is only
available through us.
