"VIP access" Burgundy

July 10th to July 14th

This trip is ideal for people:

- who do not have much time but want to have a great Tour de France experience

- who wish to extend to the Etape du Tour (July 14th to 17th)

- Want to combine with the VIP Access Alps (July 13th to 18th)

It includes restricted access to 3 Tour stages (#4, #5 and #6) all with preferred treatment:

- Exclusive VIP hospitality access to stage finish in Joigny (stage #4)

- Ride stage Chablis to Autun in its entirety (stage #5) w/ option to reduce the ride length

- Crossing of finish line in Autun (stage #5)

- Photo on the official Tour de France Podium (stage #5)

- Exclusive VIP access to Start Village and riders area in Semur en Auxois (stage #6)

As an official Tour Operator for the Tour de France, we are in a position to offer you behind the scenes access you never thought possible.

This trip will allow you to see the Tour from the inside. When we mean VIP access, we mean visit of the Press rooms, Technical Zones, visits guided by a representative of the Tour de France organization, visit of the Riders Zone, meeting personalities that have marked the Tour (former Tour winners, personalities, etc...). In addition to having VIP access to a stage start and finish, you will also be able to ride all (or parts) of stage #5 on July 12th, just a few short hours before the Yellow Jersey and the peloton. This experience will include a sag-wagon by Custom Getaways, on-course accredited vans, being escorted by an official Tour de France vehicle over the final 20km, crossing of the actual finish line and pictures of yourself on the official Tour de France Podium. Of course other daily rides are planned as well for the 11th and 13th. Can you stand not to be part of it?

Please read below for day by day description of the trip.

This trip is open to cyclist as well as those who prefer not to ride and restricted to 20 people to preserve its exclusive character.

ITINERARY

- July 10th -

Hotel location: Fontainebleau

We will be picking up at Roissy CDG airport (Paris Charles de Gaulle airport). The airport also has a TGV train station so if you are already in France or Europe, arriving by train is a possibility as well.

Once we have gathered everyone, we will head South of Paris to Fontainebleau which will be home for the first couple nights of this trip. Fontainebleau was a hunting retreat for the French kings starting in the 12th century. It's forest provided abundant game.

Yet Fontainebleau's reputation comes from the castle built by King Francois the 1st.

We will assemble bikes and go for a quick spin in the area to ensure proper operation.

- July 11th -

Hotel location: Fontainebleau

Tour Stage 4   /   Villers Cotterets - Joigny  /  190km (118.5 miles)

Fontainebleau is located about 90km from Joigny which will host today's stage. We will be riding from the hotel to the arrival in the morning.

Then, in the afternoon we will gain access to the exclusive VIP Izoard hospitality area located very close to the finish line. Here hostesses will serve drinks and snacks while watching the live broadcast on Big Screen and TV. After seeing the stage finish from this exclusive viewing area champagne will be served to celebrate the stage winner.

The Izoard bus is among the more exclusive areas at stage finishes and you should expect to see/meet plenty of Tour celebrities.

- July 12th -

Hotel location: Beaune

Tour Stage 5   /   Chablis - Autun  /  184km (115 miles)

If you've ever had the dream of riding a Tour de France stage along roads filled with spectators and raise your arms to the sky as you cross the finish-line, today is the day it comes true!

This is a perfect stage to ride as the total distance is "only" 184km and the terrain should be flat to rolling. Of course if the distance sounds a bit long, there will be options to drop-off further down the way. Custom Getaways vehicles with on-course accreditation will be accompanying you and providing an extra lift if necessary, and an official Tour de France vehicle will escort us over the final 20km of the course and you will cross the finish line on closed roads.

You will then climb the official Tour podium to have your picture taken.

While the exact route won't be announced until late May, we anticipate the itinerary will be similar that the one picture to the right.

Once the stage is over we will spend the evening in beautiful Beaune, wine-capital of the Burgundy region

from "on Course" vehicle

- July 13th  -

Hotel location: Lyon

Tour Stage 6  /  Semur en Auxois   -  Bourg en Bresse  / 200km (125 miles)

Another great day of riding and Tour viewing is on tap for today.

We will be driving to the start in Semur and we anticipate the start village will open around 10:30am/10:45am so we'll have a bit of time in Beaune to walk the cobbled streets or simply sleep-in!

Once in Semur, we will be treated to the Start Village of today's stage and have passes to enter the rider's area, meet some of the racers, see them warm-up, meet Directeurs Sportif, personalities, etc. A person from ASO will show you around the area and explain how things work.

Once the stage is off, we will be riding in the burgundy region. There will be several possible ride options depending on how you have recuperated from yesterday's ride.
